From a young age I was the kid who dreaded PE, always picked last, and spent the early part of my school years being bullied for my weight. I wasn’t the “pretty” one, in fact, I was very different to the other kids growing up in an area without many girls that even had the same skin colour as me and food became my comfort—something I turned to from a young age to help disguise how I was truly feeling and as I got older I realised, food was still my escape.


not only was my weight taking over my confidence but my skin had completely changed. My hormones were so unbalanced and the foods I was eating were reacting to my gut and breaking me out. I've been on such a journey to not only understand how training can change your body but how our hormonal health has such an impact on our skin, weight and mental health. Having a good diet can really change everything before you've even stepped into the gym



BUT 2024 WAS THE YEAR THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING...
Everything I knew for the last few years came crashing down at the beginning of 2024 and I truly hit rock bottom. It was this year that fitness truly saved my life. This year I realised what moving my body truly meant to me. I promised myself I will never lose myself again, I will never neglect my body, I will never stop caring for the Debbie that deserves to feel good about herself and movement has given me that confidence back. Reimagined is built on the principle of rebuilding and rising above the limiting beliefs you previously had about yourself. It's time to reset, rebuild and reimagine what your body and your life could look like through movement

When I started training for Hyrox it gave me a goal, a purpose and it pushed me further than I had ever trained before. This is when my body REALLY changed and it's not because of hyrox, it is because of the form of training that Hyrox encompasses which is hybrid training. I was working towards building strength AND speed. All of the movements in Hyrox are based on functional movements, using your whole body whilst also incorporating cardio, so, not only has it done wonders for my strength but my aerobic ability is far greater than what it ever has been. I used to be the girl that only aimed to lift heavy weights and I realised how I wasn't achieving the physique I wanted. It was when I started working on my muscular endurance training for hyrox and I began running that I really noticed a change. The reason why I love hybrid training so much is because it works on your overall health. Your aerobic capacity and your lungs are just as important as your strength. Take it from someone who has asthma and could barely run 500m without needing my inhaler... Training for hyrox unlocked a determination and strength in me that I never knew was there. All I want to do is get quicker and quicker and help as many people as I can feel that hyrox high. I promise, hybrid training can really change your body and life. It makes you feel INCREDIBLE.
